Shepherd's pie other

Serves 1

Preparation time less than 30 mins

Cooking time 10 to 30 mins

Quick Recipe


Ingredients
½ potato, peeled and chopped
30g/1oz butter
1 lamb steak, diced
2 carrots, peeled and finely diced
salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Method
1. Bring a medium pan of water to the boil.
2. Add the potato to the pan of water and boil until soft.
3. Melt half the butter in a small frying pan.
4. Add the lamb and carrots and sauté until the carrots are soft.
5. Season the lamb and if desired, add a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
6. Drain the potatoes.
7. Add the remaining butter to the potatoes and mash.
8. Remove the lamb from the heat.
9. Take a pastry cutter and place on a flat plate.
10. Spoon the lamb into the base of the cutter.
11. Spoon the mashed potato on top of the lamb before carefully removing the cutter and serving.
