Ingredients

½ potato, cubed 3 tbsp plain flour 150ml/5fl oz double cream 50g/1¾oz grated Edam cheese salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method

1. Microwave the potato in a little water for four minutes. 2. Remove from the microwave, strain and mash. 3. Mix with the flour to make a dough. Shape into a roll and cut into pillow shapes. 4. Cook in boiling water for two minutes. 5. Strain and put onto a plate. 6. In a saucepan melt the cheese and cream together. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper . 7. Pour the sauce over the gnocchi and serve.
