Papaya in Tamarind Syrup other

Cooking time less than 10 mins

Vegetarian Quick Recipe


Ingredients
1 papaya, de-seeded and cut into wedges
½ tamarind pod, shelled
1 tbsp caster sugar
2 tsp water
1 lime, juice only
splash of white wine


Method
1. In a small saucepan gently heat the sugar, water, lime juice and wine until the sugar has melted.
2. Add the tamarind and continue to cook until a syrup forms.
3. Serve the papaya with the tamarind syrup drizzled over the top.
