Liquorice rice basmati rice

Preparation time less than 30 mins

Cooking time 10 to 30 mins

Vegetarian Quick Recipe


Ingredients
140g/5oz basmati rice
1 liquorice root
hot water
coriander leaves, to garnish


Method
1. Place the rice and liquorice into a medium pan and pour over enough hot water to cover.
2. Bring to the boil and then reduce the heat and simmer gently for 10-12 minutes, or until the rice is tender, adding extra water if necessary.
3. Remove from the heat, cover and drain if necessary. Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
