Chocolate fondue with sweet croutons and panettone dark chocolate

Serves 2

Preparation time less than 30 mins

Cooking time 10 to 30 mins

Vegetarian Quick Recipe


Ingredients
100g/4oz dark chocolate
4 tbsp milk
6 tbsp double cream
½ orange, zest only
1 slice white bread, crusts removed and cut into 2.5cm/1 in cubes
30g/1oz unsalted butter, melted
icing sugar, to dust
1 slice of panettone, cut into 2.5cm/1in cubes
1 satsuma, segmented


Method
1. Pre-heat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7.
2. Put the chocolate, milk, cream and orange zest into a pan and gently heat until melted.
3. Brush the bread cubes with the melted butter and dust with icing sugar.
4. Place on a non-stick baking tray and bake in the oven for 4-5 minutes until crisp and golden.
5. Transfer the chocolate mixture to a serving dish.
6. Remove the sweet croutons from the oven.
7. Serve the croutons, panettone cubes and satsuma segments alongside the chocolate fondue mix.
