1. Preheat the barbecue or grill to a medium heat.
2. Simply peel the fruit and cut into wedges or chunks. Thread onto skewers and spoon over the chilli sugar.
3. Barbecue over hot coals, basting occasionally with syrup until the fruit is well caramelised. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
