Bread sauce


Preparation method

  1. Peel the onion and stud it with the cloves.

  2. Pour the milk into a saucepan and add the onion, salt, peppercorns and bay leaf.

  3. Bring the milk up to the boil and then remove from the heat and leave for 15 minutes.

  4. Remove the peppercorns and bay leaf.

  5. Add the butter and breadcrumbs and cook very slowly for another 15 minutes. Then remove the onion.

  6. Cool, then bag and freeze.
