
oil for deep-frying
150g/5¼oz Wensleydale cheese, cut into triangles
100g/3½oz breadcrumbs
1 free-range egg, whisked
Heat the oil ready for deep frying. (CAUTION: Hot oil can be very dangerous. Do not leave unattended.)
Dip the cheese in the egg and then coat in the breadcrumbs.
Carefully drop the cheese into the hot oil and deep-fry for 2-3 minutes or until crisp and golden.
Drain on kitchen paper and serve hot.
