Bourbon milk punch

This Independence Day cocktail comes straight from the Bourbon House in New Orleans.


  • 1 shot espresso

  • 1 tbsp dark crème de cacao, or other dark chocolate liqueur

  • 35ml/1¼fl oz bourbon

  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream

  • Grated nutmeg, to garnish

Preparation method

  1. Blend the espresso, dark crème de cacao, bourbon and vanilla ice cream in a food processor.

  2. To serve, pour the cocktail into a whisky tumbler and garnish with grated nutmeg.
