 | | | | | | | DAVID EYRES IS VETERAN FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR 2004 | | | | | | | | |
Thousands of you took part in our vote on Monday's Breakfast programme.
It looked like a tough act to follow after Gianfranco Zola won last year's award.
However, we received thousands of votes and Oldham's David Eyres was the overall winner. | | |
 | | | | | There were some big names in the running - French World Cup winner Youri Djorkaeff of Bolton had lots of votes and there was also great support for Leicester City's Les Ferdinand.
But it's been the old guys of the Nationwide who've been clocking up the votes. Iwan Roberts of Norwich had lots of support and the Bristol City fans deluged us Brian Tinnion.
Here's how you voted:
1. David Eyres of Oldham Athletic 2. Brian Tinnion of Bristol City 3. IwanRoberts of Norwich City 4. Les Ferdinand of Leicester City 5. Craig Brewster of Dunfermline 6. Nigel Martyn of Everton 7. Youri Djorkaeff of Bolton Wanderers 8. Des Walker of Nottingham Forest |
