Gethin Jones: Welsh Dragon
5 live's Gethin Jones spent a day learning what matchday for a Welsh international rugby union player is like.
In the following five videos, he'll have breakfast with Scott Quinnell, take the players' coach ride to the Millennium Stadium, warm up, cool down - in an ice bath! - and take a look at the latest technology involved in the kit.
First up, breakfast: rugby union legend Scott Quinnell and squad performance manager Craig White talk through what Welsh International rugby players eat before a match.
On the buses
Gethin goes on the actual match-day bus journey the Welsh players take as they travel through Cardiff to the Millennium Stadium.
A Dragon's warm-up
Even in the pre-match warm up Gethin struggles to impress the coaches.
"I'm almost too scared to talk to you in case he shouts at me. It's all very serious, very focused."
Fire-brrrrrreathing Dragon
Gethin Jones takes a post-match ice bath. How long can he stay under water?
"I really don't want to be in here and I'd like to get out as soon as possible."
The whole kit and caboodle
Shammy leather patches have been stitched into the shorts of the Welsh rugby union team's new kit, to keep their hands dry in the wet. Michael Dodds, from Under Armour, talks through all the technical specifications of what today's players wear on the pitch.
Mark Pougatch swearing on air... it's a bit rude!
5 Live Sport responds to Joe Kinnear's expletive filled outburst with an unusual and daring opening to the programme on Friday 3 October.
