Return of the Debt
How would you feel if you suddenly found out that you owe tens of thousands of pounds for a debt that you didn't know you had? The 5 live Report has learned that people whose homes were repossessed over a decade ago are now being pursued by lenders who say they didn't recover enough money from the sale of their property. Reporter Penny Haslam speaks to people who have rebuilt their lives, with new families and new homes, who are now facing court action for debts that have come back to haunt them more than 10 years on.

Justice for Jane
Mike Tomlinson investigates drug licensing on the NHS. Terminally-ill with cancer, Jane Tomlinson raised more than £1.5 million for cancer charities by running, swimming and cycling on some of the toughest athletic challenges. Yet when it came to the life-prolonging treatment she needed, like hundreds of other patients, she was denied the drugs she needed. In a special 5 live Report, her husband, Mike Tomlinson investigates why some patients with cancer and other life-threatening and debilitating conditions like multiple sclerosis get the treatment they need whilst others have to settle for second best. He asks: How can the cost of a drug be weighed up against the price of a life?

Paedophiles online
Internet paedophilia – it’s a new and growing crime. More and more people are viewing child pornography online: making, downloading and storing images. Yet police forces are finding it more and more difficult to track down the offenders and less than ten percent of cases brought before the courts are successfully prosecuted. In the 5 Live Report, Wendy Austin charts the rise in this type of internet crime and asks why conviction rates are so low.
