SYNOPSIS OF STORY

The film looks at how situations can snowball out of control. Two naughty Eskimos wage war on one another after a simple snowball fight gets out of hand.

Director - Alan Robinson

I love creating my own characters and bringing them to life using animation. I would love to make my own children's TV series at some point in the future. Two colleagues helped me with Snowball: Sarah McCleave created the music and Steve Daldry the sound effects.

We've just been watching Cartoon Network for the last hour but this was better than anything we saw. Well done and jolly good stuff.

Michael Winer
Calm down dear! It's just a short animation... (And a damn fine one at that!)

Alicia Dean
While this film may seem funny it is largely offensive and exploitative of an actual group of Native people that live in Alaska and Canada. You are further perpetuating an in accurate image of a real group of people. I would give your film a thumbs down.

parker
YesGREAT animation!!Not sure why people keep mentioning south park, its not that similar.. Fairly knew what was going to happen but very well executed. very good. And yeah its inuit!

Jamie Davey
VERY GOOD ***** STARS BRILLIANT

Great stuff, one of (if not THE) best i've seen on this site. Great characters, high quality animation (done in flash, right?) and good storytelling. Along with "why I steal Pencils" this is my favourite film so far. *****stars.

Nice work. I've been making animations recently and can appreciate the time it must have taken.

GooDoo
Strangely reminiscent of Aardman's classic Pib&Pog with South Park style characters in a more polar kind of setting... But very well made, great clip.

JSND (comments below) - read the site: there is no competition. There is nothing to win. It's about showing the film people have made, not turning it into a competition. Stop going on about one film winning ahead of others.

JSND
This is the best film on here... and one of the few that bothers with any sense of narrative and character. For that alone it should win... but it is also funny and technically well made. A lot of the minute films look thrown together and ill thought out... Snowball as obviously been deeply thought about, developed and crafted. This should win.

Tim
Nice one! Hilarious animation always hits the spot! Add the fact that the people behind must be poisoned from inhaling tons of helium to do those voices and they should definitely be the winners!

Cat
It's fantastic ice say!

Farah Adaci
Cute, Funny and a great idea to show kids how nobody gets away with being nasty. 7/10

Xavier
Entertaining funny and well made. It reminded me of Southpark but still great work!

Duncan
A superb vignette, with a moral undertone which reaches out to the youth of today. Superb performances by both the actors and together with a well crafted script. Bravissimo.

De-Buea
Stupendous, I loved the non- political, politically free view point, very erksome. Its one minute films like this that make the Cannes look like the tin of beanz that it is 58 out of 57 I say!!

marc
funy amazingly well animated and surprisingly deep so far id have to say this is the best of the lot

movie critic
Great looking and fluid flash that felt like a pro job..better looking than south park, without the toilet humour. Voted numero uno in the Animation category!

olly
are you saying you've got to be Inuit to win it, Paul itically correct? Get over yourself, its a great film!

jude hartley
I think this is really good- well structured within the discipline of one minute, with loads of action, and some classic animation shots in it, including shadows.... I love the sound fx and voices! Snowcontest!- this should win!

Zippy
Very funny... loved it.. and nice political message too...

Laura Parker
so cute and so funny and very well animated :)

Paul Iticallycorrect
I think you'll find the correct term is Inuit not eskimo
