SYNOPSIS OF STORY

This is a really simple story. It's a teaser trailer for a movie about the secret life of Groucho Marx, where he was a detective, no less!.

Director - Max Castle

Max Castle is not my real name, and Groucho is not a real film. I just thought it would be fun to make a short movie. To be honest, I didn't even use a camera! I just used Windows Movie Maker to create a series of credits, then added the music from the music download page. It took about an hour to put together. I know it's a bit rough but I was surprised by how much I could do in such a short space of time. Finally, I converted it to .avi format using a cheap conversion programme I found on the web, saved it to a CD and sent it in.

With an artistic lisence you can certainly play around with the boundaries of what is a 'movie', especially when it's within 60 seconds... but please that was not a movie!

I agree - the lack of images lets this down - interesting story concept though...I never new a great concept I wouldn't steal

Amusing. All it needed was a great photo of Groucho to fade in and out after the "...Was also the worlds greatest detective..." as that wouldn't have taken away from the simplicity one bit. I would say that the trailer is a lost cause here... Perhaps Telling this fact to us in imagery would've been more in keeping with the idea of a 60second Film. Write the film, make it I'll watch it!

Not too sure about this one, although the other reviews seemed to like it. I just thought it was trying to be too clever and the Alton Towers music made it a bit obvious. Sorry if that sounds harsh but it's just my opinion. lol!

I'd have gone to see the film had it been genuine. It's a good job I'm not visually impaired - But it was probably the lack of cheesy hollywood V.O. that appealed to me.
