SYNOPSIS OF STORY

This is a music documentary parody of the MTV programme that promotes consumerism and celebrity idolisation. Although the lines spoken are saged, the dark irony is that this is the true story of my 'actor' and I feel a great sadness for him as he really does live the lonely squalid life seen in the film.

Director - A Andronicou

I am 31 years old and have worked as a nightclub manager and sales executive. I've wanted to share my stories through film for all my adult life. But with every avenue I have explored, I have been told that I have no relevant qualifications, no experience (for work experience!), no friends in the industry, and now I have been told I am too old. Life is short - now I am going to start chasing my dreams!

A massive thanks to everyone who has watched my little film, & taken the time to leave constructive comments! Its been an exciting challenge cramming story, character & action in 1 minute. Im quite proud! I try to watch every film here, and i have respect for EVERYONE who has the courage to get up, make something and share it. I look forward to showing you some more films soon Thanks!

Great job. Good parody! Feel a bit sorry for StinkBomb, though. Dude needs a little help - perhaps submit film to 'Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.' You'd be doing StinkBomb an ENORMOUS favor!!!

Cabin Fever
Reminded me of those sad documentaries that make you glad to have your own life! Anyone can DO happy. Its refreshing to see the unsavoury grit of real life that most people like to sweep under the carpet. Uncomfortable watching this saddo. But insightful.

Very interesting; in the sense of, not even remotely interesting. The subject is a smelly, dirty, ex-druggie looser, who seems to be proud of the fact. And I didn't like his pseudo-cool, repeated use of the phrase 'honeys'.

We got to know you in under a minute. Well done. Most lives are as bad, really.

What the Dickens?
You made me laugh, then you made me feel guilty for laughing. I wasnt expecting to watch a film with depth.

That was great! Good editing and so forth. Don't listen to the people who tell you you're too old or that you 'shouldn't give up the day job'. Oh, and it was funny!

Black & white lifted straight out of MTVs rulebook. Still. YOU MADE IT WITH STYLE.

was that man acting or is he for real? funny. sad and funny.

Byron
nice work - simple idea - tight editing - excellent ps: not seen any of Gita's work yet - there again, it's a lot easier to make childish comments with CAPS-LOCK on than create something of your own

rebecca
i thought it was great but that is what i thought

spacemonkey
This was good. Funny and relevant it gives the finger to all those trendy young media types who produce this sort of drivel for a living. Nail struck firmly on the head. Continue making films for yourself and the audience, forget the trendy media fascists.

Touching.

I love the bitter-sweet ending. The silhouette of the guy as he is sitting looking out the window. Very melancholy. Amazing that you made me feel pathos for the man in just one minute!

Some movies here are pretentious & abysmal 'art' experiments. (Thankfully)This is a good idea that is well-structured and well-executed.

FOR A 31 YEAR OLD...YOU MAYBE SHOULD STICK TO THE DAY JOB! FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS WANTED TO SHARE THEIR STORIES THEIR WHOLE ADULT LIFE YOU MIGHT HAVE PUT IN A BIT EFFORT...OH WELL, ANOTHER MINUTE WASTED!!

This was a waste of everyones life who has watched this. I would have rather licked my feet in the time that it took me to watch this.

Terry Brockett.
You did well putting a begining a middle, and an end in one minute! ALL GOOD!

jonny big balls
oh - dear... a man (unsure if he qualifys) that can stay in a appartment like that, with issues or not should be allowed in to our society.

Keeley
Very good Hope Simon is OK!

StarForce
I liked what you did with the multiple camera views on the door opening. Very fluid. B&W enhance the genre. Stylistically y you hit the right notes.

Sarah G.
I thought you did really well to have a whole documentary with a begining, middle and end. Its obvious you spent some time on this. Well done!

Part Spinal Tap, part 'How Clean Is Your House' ? I feel it fell between 2 stools - especially in the bog.

James Roberts
Wow, that guy was a ******! I hope you're not friends with him. if you are it could be the reason you haven't "made it", bad contacts. Oh, and plus the fact that the film was mediocre in every way. Sorry i'm not saying this to be cruel, it's just the truth. But there's no harm in having a dream i hope you enjoy chasing it.
