SYNOPSIS OF STORY

In Addiction, we see a man wrestling with his inner-self. Should he have that well deserved drink or is the recycle box telling him he has a problem? In the allowed 60 seconds, we see his mood change dramatically as he argues with himself. Is he over reacting or practising self-denial? To drink or not to drink? What will he do? Is he suffering Addiction? Is he alone on this subject?

Director - Bob Etherington

zig
Incredibly boring, the longest film minute I ever saw.

arthur
what the....

henry
the diolouge seemed to run very patchy in places trying keep each line original and fluent but a good attempt.

spacemonkey
A serious subject well dealt with given the restriction of 60 seconds of film. Good work!

woodstock
Over-acting finger. Spent all budget on beer;nothing left for tripod or graphics.

Sarah
Liked this, very clever.

Robert Downey
The guy who made this needs a drink - badly!

bilbo
a bit like resevior dogs in as much as we only hear the ring pull and dont know who got shot

Ahmad azhar
he is not str4ongly determin in his decision,a person should be strogly determin in his decission otherwise there is no point

RJ_m31
The guys lucky to be able to afford so many cans of carling. Also hes not fat. and clearly not addicted, A full recycling box is no sign of addictiveness, just the council is probably just too slow in its collections.

rickard
attempts to be deep but just simply rubbish with jerky camera and a guy who doesnt even look like he is addicted but rather thinking whether he will be bothered to got o the loo after he has drunk the carling, judging by the almost over- flowing recycling box. lazy bum

Gekko.
Grrrrr... evil recycling box

jedbah
dull and badly made

JoShUA kANE
a big pile of unwashed clothes festering in a corner!

YUKITO
THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE DEPRESSINGLY NAIVE.WRONG.WE LL DONE.

joe hunter
found it interesting. it was a battle of ones addiction, albeit a subdued one.

hannah x
Caffster where is your comment on the movie??? This is'nt a slagging match!!

Caffster
Hey Hannah, Wot are you all about????

hannah x
LOKI who do you think you are, i'm commenting on the film not your negative comments you seem to make.. think you need to get back on those Prozac's and life might be happy.

Daf
Good effort, I like it. Not your stereotypical addict. Provokes a thought for all those who enjoy a drink after a days work. Well done, more of the same good ideas please.

StoneT
Man you got some harsh reviews so-far! To be honest I like it. I think anyone who believes this doesn't deal with the subject doesn't really know the subject. Addiction is so many different things to different people. That said, the 'dialogue' could have been improved, as could the camerawork. But otherwise thumbs up!

david
NOOOOOOOOOO

hannah x
dear LOKI it rocks because it soo totally does n led zeppellin rocks in a completely different way to this film

LOKI
OH MY GOD! HOW TIRED IS THIS THEME? AND HANNAH JUST A WEE QUESTION I'D BE HAPPY IF YOU ANSWER FOR ME....HOW EXACTLY DOES THIS FILM "ROCK"?? ITS NOT AS IF ITS A ROCKUMENTARY ON LED ZEPPELLIN OR SOMTHING?

bill
total rubbish, i dont think he drinks at all

dave
the idea is simple which make the film work. don't worry about the negative reviews about the the filming and sound, they can be improved over time. the idea is the important bit. well done

hannah x
wats wrong with people this film totally rocks

Reason
If the alcohol doesn't kill him, I would be happy to assist. Utterly tedious.

mark
only someone with a drink problen can relate to this film so dont mock it

Aryan
It was crap. Absolutely nothing that anybody else couldn't have done with a camera.

hannah-kay
i think it was poo!!! and thats putting it politely

BBigGG
I'm sorry but that was pants. If you have a problem then seek assistance.

Scot Kenwood
Excellent style. The shots were simple yet amazingly effective. You deserve to go far.

John Elfed Hughes
The film is rather simple to deserve any professional recognition. However, I like the issue it presented. Not too bad.

Michael
The limited number of different shots drove me insane.

Dirk
Better than the rest, but still very far from good.

Max
His idea would have made a great short film, but it was unimaginative and boringly shot, written and edited. Their was not enough variety to the tow shots of a can and his arm and a box of cans. I thought it was boring

Queen
it was beyond boring. why does he put the empty cans in a tray as opposed to a bin? and if it was really an addiction, he woulda drank it!

LOL2000
hmmm...this was a looong short fim.....creative idea, but it seems lost by bad lighting, bad photography, and really, really insanely booring editing........ try showing, instead of telling is my best advice:)

Lizzie
Nope, didn't like this one bit. All for people getting up and getting films made... just not this one. Badly executed in all departments. I need a drink after that...

Faith
It's not that bad. And at least he recycles.

Len Lainsbury
Very enjoyable, well thought out and fabulous ending with the off screen sound of the `widget` operating !! dialogue sound needed to be much better unless I am going deaf !

Samantha
that wasn't very good! normally im kinda harsh in my approach but this film was on such a serious topic and all the way through it i couldnt stop thinking god i wish the editor had done his job and timed the sounds with the actions properly! i couldnt even concentrate on the film this was annoying me so much. watching it again i realise i didnt miss much

Jack Parker
Soz m8, but think you could of put something a bit more exciting towards the fact you say he is wrestling with his inner-self

JOShUA kANE
Addiction is a serious subject for many and sadly this dreary one minute of nothingness does nothing for anybody. The synopsis is more interesting than the film.

shelly
good but could have more action in it

vicky
if this was real life cans would be all other the place and person wouldnt be sitting still

matteo
made me think I should have gone down to the pub. And I do recycle beer cans.

ralph
Didn't like the camera shooting. Voice SO scripted.

TB
A bit too long and a very predictable ending but it's good to see someone doing their bit for the environment. Just remember to separate bottles and cans.

john
Rubbish!

Brian
nice idea. so- so film. sound was difficult to hear, could have had stronger camerawork (think about how tv adverts can make a can of beer seem so tempting), maybe used a few more close-up, different angles, etc to elevate the 'tension'. But the idea was so strong that think it could be re- made with improvements

Ant
looks like this is padded out towards the end. sound is badly out of sinc also. cheap lager et al

kt
that wasn't so great. the subject was good but a little more thought would have made the world of difference. well done any way

Laura
I couldn't read the writing at the beginning. i thought it was alright a bit boring tho.sorry.

Andy
Yeah Liked it - well done

Liam
Yep, know that deamon.

andre
poor narrative dialogue but nice touch with the openng of the drink at the end.

ljk
its diffent but cool

Colin Donovan
I should stick to being a father !
