I thought it was really well made but far too long, could have been 30 minutes shorter!!
David Fincher
Good movie but a bit pointless. There's nothing at stake for the characters involved and the sprawling (very detailed) storyline kinda goes nowhere as plotlines branch off into deadends. Sure, it frustrated those that were involved with the case but ultimately its running time and dense storytelling frustrated me as well. It's no "Fight Club" but better than most of the stuff out there.

A refreshing twist on a well established genre presenting a different side to the serial killer story by focusing much more on the complexities of the investigation and the frustrations that come with it. Very tense in parts and very well acted. You have to concentrate though. 4.5*

This film is awesome both in scope and execution. It is a sprawling and queitly disturbing masterpiece.

A compelling masterpiece.

I thought Zodiac was amazing, really well made, great acting all round and a brilliantly told story. Do not miss!!!

Right up there with Se7en for me, fantastic performances all round, particularly gyllenhaal as the obsessive Graysmith. Fincher keeps things relatively simple thus compared with his earlier work, although there are some touches of technical brilliance. It's becoming a great year for cinema and we're only in may.
Steve Green
Tedious and slow, the film seemed to lack a soul and indeed a central message. All of the actors, with the exception of Brian Cox, seemed listless and without commitment. I was simply left with the impression that the director was not entirely sure why the film was being made.
Alex London
A complex story with many false leads, echoed by this excellent film. That it is basically true is all the more remarkable and chilling.
Joanne, film appreciater.
Although I'm not a big fan of long films, it was constantly entertaining. This could be because its a true story, it could be because jake and mark looked good, or it could be that it was really well made. Well worth seeing.

I saw this in the states & highly recommend it as a must-see. Like his previous classic 'Se7en',director Fincher goes for an unsettling atmos & the mindplay approach rather than explicit gore. It's long but not boring & there are more questions than answers but that only adds to the terror. Cast & crew give it 100% (Downey Jr. deserves an Oscar)& just think - Zodiac could still be out there! 5/5
