Absolutely amazing. The visuals are stunning, the plot is compelling and the characters well written. When I found out this was a British film, I was surprised because it is unusual for the British film industry to produce films this grand and awe-inspiring.

A great watch! it had everything, horror, action, and cool special effects. A must see

Everything abou this movie delighted me. Fantastic character development, great plot, incredible effects, awesome sets and edge of your seat suspense. I'd give it six stars if I could!

Stunning, and visually arresting, yet sadly it comes off sligthly under par due to minor irritations. The idea of having a film based around the 3rd act of a larger story is a truly interesting one, but sadly it leaves you longing for an extra 30min at least to get you more involved, and desperately wanting to like it more than you do when you leave the theater.Regardless, it's inspired viewing.

I had the good fortune to see this well constructed sci-fi flick.danny boyle has conquered another genre and definetly takes influence from Alien,2001 and Event Horizon. visually it`s nearly faultless and manages to grasp the vastness of space on screen which is so hard to do. also features are rather good performance by chris evans.I recommend this highly.4/5

fantastic film! would recommend it to fans of 28 days later and the like. Genuinely creepy, atmospheric and tense. Must see at the cinema!

Excellent film. Had me on the edge of my seat from the beginning. Great sense of foreboding as film progressed, you just know things are going to go horribly wrong! Ending was and not what I expected, but as the reviewer says, it does get you talking about all the possibilities - but then so did the rest of the film. Similar to "Solaris" in that respect. Special effects are amazing.

weird, strange, rubbish, could have been so much better almost walked out of the cinama

Favorite film of this year so far. Brilliant story. Great Characters. No cheesy parts to film at all. Afterwards I wanted it to be a longer film. I enjoyed it that much. I think thats rare in films.

First two thirds is gripping stuff, setting itself up for a fall. Unfortunately, the anticipated fall is more of a trip, ultimately leaving the viewer dazed and confused.

I thought it was absolutely beautiful. And the sound is amazing. It's definitely one for the cinema, it really makes you think about quite profound questions of our own existence, which for a popcorn science fiction film really isn't so bad... I didn't fully understand what was going on towards the end, but I think they needed something like that... and it didn't detract from the film for me.

Mind-boggling... completely gripping from the first minute. The enormity of the crew's mission weighs heavily, lending a suffocating atmosphere to the vast halls of the spaceship. The emotional journey of the crew is impossible not to get involved in. After ninety minutes, you'll be glad to be able to leave the darkened cinema and breathe in real air... and see the sunshine.

Very average, my friends and I were disappointed. As a viewer I felt that several pieces of the story were missing. However credit to the cast - superb performances all round. Visually it's a blockbuster.

Saw this in Bangkok and nearly walked out. It is one of the worst directed movies I have seen - great idea but in the last 40 minutes or so, the over loud soundtrack, over complicated cgi, rapid cuts, and ultra close shots, makes the film incomprehensible and tedious. If you want lights and noise a firework display in the garden is far more entertaining.
Alex London
An implausible and weak storyline redeemed by the special effects. Quite literally, the Sun is the star.

Fantastic!! At last a Sci-Fi movie that does itself justice.

over long and far too little happening looks great but you dont care about a single character

Interesting and well made. Yes we've seen it all before but it's got a great un-hollywood ending and will be give you plenty to talk about on the way home. The only let down is that it's not a scary as I was expecting.

Excellant film, full of suspense and tension. Well worth the money and a real heart pounder!!

Purely Brilliant science fiction that touches on religion, science and human nature. It also looks amazing to boot! The third act is what will be debated by some viewers, but this critic feels it jolts you out of the comfort zone for all of the rite reasons!

I cannot believe that the phrase 'scientifically plausible' has made it into a single review of this film (though I suppose this makes two). The only reason any aspect of the science here looks remotely possible is because it doesn't make the same huge mistake as its forerunner, The Core, and try to explain anything. Aside from about twenty seconds of cinematic brilliance, Sunshine disappoints.

I saw a preview last night and was quite impressesd I dont think its quite up to Danny Boyles normal standards but it wa stilla very impressive film. The characters are very good and there are some great twists. SFX are very good given they were apparently on a tighter budget than namny other movies.
