One of THE most amazing pieces of cinematography in recent years. Yes it was claustrophobic and I was physically drained, but afterwards I felt I had been privileged to have watched the most remarkable, thought provoking, emotionally challenging piece of cinematography. Virtuoso photography puts you in the heart and soul of Bauby's diving bell. Bravo.

A really moving film, shows the value of life. Excellant cinematography. The day sitting next to me cried watching this movie, being a man, i held back my tears, with much difficulty.

I have just watched this film and I thought is was sad and extremely moving. I have suffered and recovered from a stroke, and I have to say that this film accurately depicts the inner torment that most sufferers experience. The idea of moving to Jean-Dominique's point of view for most of the film with his imagined voice was a great achievement in direction and imagination.

A symply fantastic film. The technical makings of the film are good. Good camera work, not a bad soundtrack and some wonderful editing, but it is the story that takes hold of you. Not just because it is so heart felt and depressing, but because it is true. Far and away the sadest film I have seen in a long time, also the best.
