I thought it was superb. Tthe reviewer (catherine chambers) obviously does not come from the east end, where violence and football are a way of life.

This is the real world outside your posh house and high moral standards Catherine. How did you want Mr Gilbey to portray these 'Gangsters'?... Running around playing tig and pillow fighting? A close as you can get, without being a fly on the wall, look at the what goes on for real in the real world.

Graphic but very true to life. Harsh. But we do live in a world of violence. Meaningless but very true.

I thought this film was great for what it was, a violent fast paced kick in the face. i did have one major problem in that half way through the main character gets side tracked for a phyco and a bloke with stupid hair but you can't have everything. Still it was a great watch, well worth a punch up

What people fail to realise is this is actually what went on back then. The shot of epping forest country club brought memories back of me walking outside the club in the early hours of ney years day to find a doorman lying flat on the floor receiving CPR after being shot. Great Film and still to this day i believe they were done over by undercover police in a tip off by an informant.

Unfortunately, this is probably the best depiction of the life and times of the era.speakimg as one who was there, albeit on the edges this film captures the raw times and lawlessness which was prevalent then.Life was actually like that for some.

I have not watched such an awful film since, well, I'm struggling. No, I think this was the worse film I have ever seen. Whats more annoying is that it could've been half decent - if they used credible actors, or a good script or had any idea what they were on about. Awful, awful, awful.
