Overlord is an underrated British classic that hasn't dated - just check out it's overwhelming critically successful re-release 2 years ago in America. There's no other movie depicting WW2 that looks quite like as haunting as this - and certainly no other film showing D-Day from the British perspective in such a unique way. Please see this crimimally neglected film if you ever get the chance.
