Juxtapositioning Schubert's "Ave Maria" to "Dark Angel" style flashbacks of children being brainwashed into ruthless killers gave this movie about 10 minutes of sophistication at the start.The rest was worryingly violent for a 15 certificate. Graphic blood letting, people being shot in the head, and deplorable violence to women. Made me wonder what qualifies for an 18 certificate nowadays

A remarkable effort from Xavier Gens.With a difficult title to work with, this film is probably better suited to those who haven't played the Hitman games. However,
I have, and perhaps I'm more forgiving than some, but it wasn't so bad. The love interest was a little confusing, as Agent47 (Olyphant) is trained against this when he is cloned (or adopted in the film). Overall a good film.4/5

i loved the games and this movie well ok it wassn't as good as the games but still 1 of the best action movies ive seen this year better than die hard 4.0 there also was a couple of laughs in there as well

the movie is mainly alot of blood being sprayed everywhere and no real substance to the film. the actors are cardboard. it would be much better if we knew why the characters are the way they are, it is alot of guess work.

Not many video game to movie translations end up delivering on the origins premise. Exceptions perhaps being the Resident Evil franchise yet even that is cliched and empty. Hitman wastes the talents of the main leads with direction and script that is too lame to put into words. Dull and uninspired actions scenes along with surreal interactions between the cast result in mess of movie. Avoid

Can't beleive some of the comments. This film was atrocious. Dougray Scott was particularly awful and seemed to be delivering his lines in slow motion. The romantic element was so unconvincing and mis-judged it was insulting to anyone with intelligence. The action sequences, however, were fairly good. The real problems came whenever any of the characters started talking. Thank God it was short.

Have never played the computer game -never even heard of it. Likewise, had never heard of the movie but saw it last Saturday here in Canada. Have to say, I really liked it and hope there will be a sequel.

I thought Hitman was very good. If you've played the video games then oyu'll know how close they kept it to the game & didn't complicate things, they kept it simple & i really enjoyed it

The review by paul arendt totally misses the whole point of the game. The idea of number 47 is not to be able to walk through a crowd unoticed, but to stick to the shadows and have many different disguises. He was never meant to stick out in a crowd, but avoid the sight of those around him while carrying out his missions. Loved the games, loved the movie!

All I can say is very disappointing. Thought it was going to be an entertain actioner, instead it's one anti-climatic scene after another. At no point did I sympathise with the lead character or become intirgued with the double cross. Was hoping for the next Bourne but comes nowhere near!

i must be an awful judge on whats a good film as every film i love is slated by the bbc reviewers.I personally loved the film. I have not played any of the games but liked the film and kept me thinking. Why people choose to slate films that are good is beyound me. Funny how most ordinary people like it and the professional reviewer does not? Just about 4 out of 5 stars from me.
