At 6"2 inches tall, Forest Whitaker has built a solid reputation in Hollywood playing 'gentle giants' who eventually display a tougher underside. His portrait of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin follows the pattern, drawing the audience into his seductive cult of personality as the same thing happens to James McAvoy's charater. But it's also the performance of Whitaker's career, and here he tells us how he got into the mind of as notorious a figure as Amin.
