Guantanamo Pic Wows Berlin
Is this the new Fahrenheit 9/11? Michael Winterbottom's explosive docudrama The Road To Guantanamo, which tackles the experiences of prisoners at America's infamous internment camp, is the talk of the town at the Berlin Film Festival. Speaking at a press conference after a tightly packed screening, Winterbottom told reporters that the film was made to remind people of the "incredibly perverse system" that supported Guantanamo. Further interest has been sparked by the film's unprecedented release schedule: it will the first film ever to be released simultaneously in cinemas, on DVD and on the internet next month. Oh, and just in case you still miss it, the film will be shown on British telly in the same week.

Countdown To Casino Royale
With shooting underway on the "back-to-basics" Bond movie Casino Royale, excitement is mounting in industry circles over the still unanswered question of who will be the new Bond girl. Variety reckons that a decision and an announcement are imminent, and speculates that the role will go to one of two actresses: The Dreamers star Eva Green or Olivia Wilde, who is best known for playing Mischa Barton's lesbian squeeze in babes'n'sunshine TV drama The OC. Amazingly, the film still lacks a villain after three weeks of shooting, but industry buzz suggests that Danish star Mads Mikkelsen will soon be confirmed as the baddie.

Lenny Makes Movie Debut
Style icon and occasional pop singer Lenny Kravitz is set to make his movie acting debut in Iced. The movie, based on Ray Shell's novel, is the story of a young musician's rise to fame and battles with drugs, according to Empire. So, 8 Mile with dreadlocks, basically. Lenny is no stranger to the movie scene, having penned tunes for Austin Powers 2 among others. But he's probably best known for dating superstars. He's squired Nicole Kidman, Natalie Imbruglia, Vanessa Paradis and Brazilian model Adriana Lima in his time. Not bad going.
