  Magic Mail Box
Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock will star opposite each other in romantic drama Il Mare for Argentinian helmer Alejandro Agresti (Valentin). An English-language remake of little-known Korean outing Sidus, Il Mare will mark the first time the stars have shared the screen since they were trapped on a bomb-rigged bus in 1994's action thriller Speed.

The tear-jerking romance centres on a frustrated architect (Reeves) and a lonely doctor (Bullock) who live in the same house two years apart and fall in love via letters they exchange through an inter-dimensional mailbox that magically bridges time (whoa!). Yes folks, it's You've Got Mail meets The Matrix. Joking aside, though, the mysterious postbox is nothing compared to helmer Agresti's physics-defying feat of getting two vacuum-headed stars to occupy the same screen space simultaneously.
  Rambo Returns?
Sylvester Stallone says he wants to bring tortured Vietnam vet turned ultimate killing machine John Rambo back from the cinema graveyard for a fourth outing. It's been 18 years since Rambo last wore his trademark red bandana, but 58-year-old Stallone is adamant that a new movie is on the cards. "We're in the kitchen and we're cooking," he told The Internet Movie Database. "I've had meetings about this and it looks good. We'll see what we can come up with."

Considering that Rambo was last seen helping Osama Bin Laden's mates defeat the Russkies in Afghanistan in Rambo III, we're guessing this could be an even worse career move than Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. If it all goes Pete Tong, the punch drunk star has another ace up his sleeve: he's currently working on getting Rocky 6 into the ring. The words flogging, dead and horse spring to mind.
  Trekkie Truths
Executive producer Rick Berman has dismissed Internet rumours that the new Star Trek movie - currently known as The Untitled Star Trek Prequel - has been beamed back to the rewrite department. Speaking with the bods over at Sci Fi Wire, Berman denied that Star Trek 11 was in any kind of trouble whatsoever, period. "Unless there is something going on that I am not familiar with, the rumours are totally fictitious," he explained, adding: "Absolutely neither statement, that something has been scuttled and that I have been asked to redevelop something, is true." Tune in next week to hear smooth-talking Berman convince us that Star Trek: Nemesis was the best Trek movie ever.
  Blade Goes Berserk
Blade Trinity star Wesley Snipes allegedly threatened to kill scripter turned director David S Goyer on the set of the third instalment of the vampire action franchise, because he thought his character was being sidelined.

According to a report in OK! magazine, Snipes was so furious about the introduction of supporting characters Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds) and Abigail (Jessica Biel) that he made death threats to the man in charge. However, a spokesperson for Goyer says it's all just a storm in a teacup: "Wesley is a method actor. There's always a lot of tension on set." So rumours that the spooked helmer spent most of the shoot wearing a crucifix and eating raw garlic are obviously unfounded...
