Cabin Fever DVD (2003)

So Cabin Fever is, "a grab bag of the sick and the silly, the putrid and the puerile, the disturbing and the dense." That's just our opinion though and as you'll discover on this DVD, director Eli Roth isn't short of a few opinions himself.

Care to Comment?

In fact so much has Eli to contribute that he manages to fill an astounding five audio commentaries! He may have company for four of them but he's the man with the most to say. Thankfully he's entertaining with it, speaking his mind without a second thought for political correctness. The two cast commentaries are weak, but Roth's solo effort stands out as he talks passionately about the process of movie making. Fans of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Thing and The Evil Dead will enjoy Roth's enthusiasm and appreciate the nod he gives to these horror classics.

Eli Talks... More!

As a UK DVD exclusive there's a 40-minute interview with... Eli Roth. Yes, the man can talk, easily breaking the record for the most garrulous director to contribute to a DVD ever! While there's a lot of repetition in his various commentaries, Eli's forthright views on the need for nudity and gore do make for a refreshingly blunt interview.

The Vagina Monologues

On the subject of nudity, watch out for the hidden Easter egg, which has two separate reviews given by Roxanne West and Lucas Tyler. We can't recall any dazzling insights they might have offered as both actors address the camera without a stitch of clothing - perhaps a touch distracting. And very Eli Roth...
