In the years since we last saw George, he has become a father and is now played by someone called Chris Showerman. Even the DVD release of this movie doesn't shirk from making fun of his name, and indeed that's probably the most enjoyment you'll get out of the special features on this disc.
Picture Sharp and colourful, this image transfer is fine.
Sound The 5.1 sound mix is cock-a-hoop with wild and wacky sound effects.
Behind the Trees How do you assemble a cast "that could rumble in the jungle"? That's what this 'making of' featurette is supposed to be about, but rather it just gets sidetracked with tedious attempts at comedy. Our hapless presenter soon finds himself relegated to the studio car park after annoying everyone on set. By this time you'll be ejecting him from your DVD player.
Vine Surfing Game Interactive games on Disney DVDs always aim for fun, even if they don't always hit the mark. Here, Disney misses entirely as the whole of this exercise is about answering questions and getting little reward for your efforts.
Deleted Scenes There are seven scenes in this section and the director is on hand to explain why they were cut. The most interesting thing you'll find out is that apes fart to impose their dominance in a group.
Jungle Bungles With only 35 seconds of outtakes here, this must have been one miraculously uneventful shoot. These moments aren't remotely funny.
