Seann William Scott made his big screen debut with gross-fest "American Pie" and enjoyed the trimmings of box office success with a follow up role in teen slasher "Final Destination". From there, he took a "Road Trip" and temporarily lost his way with "Dude, Where's My Car?" and "Evolution", before getting back on track with "American Pie 2", and frat boy laffer "Old School". Now, he's revisiting the role of Stifler in "American Pie 3: The Wedding". Phew.

How was it returning to the character of Stifler?
I don't think I ever left Stifler! Yeah, I was eager to play him again. I thought this script was the funniest of the bunch. I was a little bit older, and I have more material. It was just a great opportunity to play the character that started off my career.

Does he figure large in this film?
He pretty much just about destroys everything! He's like a tornado that comes through and causes lots of problems.

Did you bring anything new to the character this time around?
There are just so many different levels to the character that you didn't expect. I mean, it's not like it's Marlon Brando in "The Godfather" or anything like that! But he does a little switcheroo with the Finch character, and I thought it would be fun to play Stifler as a nice guy because it would be much weirder. And it was.

What's the grossest or raunchiest thing you had to do in "American Pie: The Wedding"?
Stifler makes love to somebody you'd never expect. He hooks up with an old lady. And he eats something we can't really discuss... there's also a dance scene at a place where you wouldn't expect Stifler to be at.

How surprised were you at the success of the "American Pie" films?
I always felt the first film was really funny but I didn't expect it to have the cult following that it did. It's just great to be a part of something like this.

"American Pie: The Wedding" is released in UK cinemas on Friday 15th August 2003.
