Was it nice kissing your own real-life fiancé, Freddie Prinze Jr?
I'll take any chance I can get. I figure I'm not shy about it.
What was it like being with him in the same place 24 hours a day?
It was great. We weren't together 24 hours a day because I was commuting [between Queensland where the film was shot and LA]. We didn't have many scenes that were just the two of us and what we did have got cut because it was long and it is a family movie. You have to keep it moving and there are things that are a little bit racy that got cut.
If you were a superhero who would you be?
I was Wonder Woman recently for a sketch on the MTV movie awards. She wears blue leather underwear. Let me tell you something, I looked like a drag queen. I don't know how Lynda Carter did it; the red boosty, the belt, the hair. I belonged in "Priscilla Queen of the Desert". I was on these huge heels, spinning around, doing the Wonder Woman spin. Oh my god!
Daphne wears quite big boots, though. How did you manage to do the stunts in them?
Luck. Luck and skill. I had one pair that was flat so I might as well have been in sneakers but if my feet were in shot I couldn't wear them. And for some reason, in all the stunts, they always saw my feet. I'd say "Do you see feet in this scene?", and it'd always be "Uh-huh".
Who are your Hollywood role models?
I look at people like Annette Bening or Michelle Pfeiffer, people who have started in the sexier roles and have then been able to progress into the woman, into the mother, into all those other roles.
