The Karate Kid: Part III DVD (1989)

Any warmth of the previous two films is lost in this sequel too far, as the desperate continuation of "The Karate Kid" franchise shudders to a pathetic halt. This time there's not only the villanous Martin Kove to deal with but also British actor Thomas Ian Griffith, who has often been billed over here as the next Chuck Norris! Still, if you must own this movie, then the DVD is a fair proposition if you can get it for a cheap price.

As with the first two discs, the picture quality is clear and colour-rich throughout.

Sound again comes in a 2.0 surround track, although this time with most of the songs sung by Glenn Medeiros you might just wish that the surround speakers weren't so well used.

Bizarrely there's no trailer for the film, so Columbia Tristar repeat the one for "Part II" along with cast and crew filmographies.
