All of Me DVD (1984)

Steve Martin stars as a lawyer whose left side of his body is taken over by the soul of a wealthy woman. With shades of the madness of "The Jerk", it's a fair comedy that receives a passable transfer to DVD.

It's obvious that Universal have used the same print sourced for the mid-80s video release and it's a fullscreen pan and scan effort that works better on DVD only because the inadequacies of VHS are no longer there. It's hardly an impressive effort though.

The sound mix is mono (like the video) and the one extra feature is the trailer (not on the VHS releases). So, the question is: do you lash out the extra cash for a DVD that's strictly 'ok', but only minimally better than a VHS (or even Betamax) copy that you may already own?
