If Jane Fonda's antics on the " Barbarella" DVD haven't melted your DVD player, it may be safe to pop in this welcome release to disc of the Neil Simon scripted, "Barefoot in the Park". While the DVD is not technically quite as good, it's still worth adding to your collection.
The problem (and it's a teeny tiny one) lies with the picture quality, which is occasionally a little grainy in darker scenes. Despite this, it's still much better than the pan-and scan VHS edition, which is the important consideration here.
Sound comes in a 2.0 mono mix that's clear and strong. As this film relies on sparkling dialogue, usually based in an apartment, this is one movie that's not begging for a 5.1 remix.
The one extra feature is the theatrical trailer, and considering that some Paramount DVDs don't even have that, we should presumably be very grateful for it.
