Who Dares Wins DVD (1982)

"Who Dares Wins" has been AWOL from video for years - so if you've been looking for it, this DVD is worth considering.

The picture is presented (as on the old VHS version) in fullscreen, so no excitement there. It starts off a little grainy but settles down to an acceptable transfer.

The 2.0 sound mix carries a mono signal that is punchy and strong, but obviously can offer no enhanced effects.

Compared to earlier efforts this year from Universal, this DVD is an improvement in terms of presentation. The animated menus are suitably slick and the photo gallery and SAS screen notes are of passing interest. There's also a little booklet that comes with the disc, which provides some interesting production notes on the publicity campaign for the film.
