Airplane II - The Sequel DVD (1982)

Compared to the first movie, "Airplane 2" is a disappointment. The same is true of the DVD release.

The picture quality, as with the disc of the original film, is excellent. The image is clear throughout and the source print used is good.

Unlike "Airplane", the sequel does not get upgraded to a 5.1 track. The 2.0 sound mix is mono and unexciting, but doesn't distort or muffle.

There are absolutely no extra features on this disc (excluding scene selection, languages, and subtitles which should be considered as standard). Even a trailer seems to be beyond Paramount this time. It's unlikely that many would care to sit though a commentary or background features for this terminally dull film, but would a little trailer hurt so much?
