Breaker Breaker DVD (1977)

It's mostly unintentional, but there's plenty to enjoy in this bizarre melding of Chuck Norris and CB radio hollering truckers. Made for not a lot back in 1977, this has always been a rather hoary-looking film on VHS, so it's pleasing that the DVD version is somewhat better.

The colours are still a bit grubby but the picture is clear enough and easier to watch than other DVD Chuck 'epics' like "A Force of One".

Sound quality is nice and clean, so kick back and enjoy the sounds of country music kindly composed by the director himself, along with plenty of CB chat from assorted kings of the craft.

Why all this CB nonsense? Well, Chuck's brother has gone missing in a crazy hick town so he has to go and investigate. Using his powers of kung fu, he kicks his flares at the corrupt local sheriffs and summons the power of trucks (via CB radio) to destroy the redneck town. Bet you're sorry you asked.

Digital Entertainment has also provided a photo gallery on the DVD, which consists of 12 screen grabs. You'll find these handy to leave on your TV should you need to scare anyone popping by for an univited visit.
