You play a character with schizophrenia in "Some Voices"? How did you approach that?
I didn't want to do a zoo show. I didn't want to do a study of someone with mental illness. I just wanted to show someone who was trying to live their life. Compared to you or I, he's very sick, but he doesn't consider himself sick. This is his life. Any voices or fantasies, he lives with. Those are his everyday life things. The thing that worries him is socialising - the things that worry us all.
You shot the nude scene on the Goldhawk Road in Shepherd's Bush, near where you live. How was that?
Horrible. We agreed to do it when I was drunk at his house one night, then on the day I had to have four large brandies - they didn't touch the sides at all. People just got on with it though. It didn't gather a crowd!
You've just started work on "Tomb Raider" with Angelina Jolie. What's your character's relationship to Lara Croft?
He's an old flame. And he's a Tomb Raider. We go on adventures together. Use your imagination! I'm going to be shooting guns; it's not the game. It's an action film, on a theme. I hope it's as exciting as it reads.
