Despite the clumsy title the fight choreography in this Hong Kong flick is breathtaking. At the centre of it all is star Chiu Man Chuk's acrobatic Wu Shu skills which he uses to kick and flip his way through a somewhat murky plot.
Pleasingly this is one of the few Hong Kong films that doesn't suffer from the usually appalling source prints that dog so many UK video releases. As a result the picture is clear and sharp in this sensational transfer to DVD.
The dilemma with this disc is whether to choose the Cantonese language soundtrack with subtitles that are more eloquently phrased than the English dub. The dubbed version does come in 2.0 though so is far more fun to watch with some good surround effects adding to the impressive scale of such a modestly budgeted film.
Extras on offer include a short but sweet Wu Shu martial arts demonstration and some comprehensive biographies and notes on the main stars. Also included is an interview with Chiu Man Chuk who seems like a thoroughly nice guy.
Overall presentation and attention to detail on this disc is very pleasing and this is a must-have DVD for action fans.
