Guy Ritchie - Shark Attack

I know it’s very much an ensemble piece but there’s a lot of interest in Brad Pitt. There’s been loads of stories, true or otherwise, about him visiting gypsies, going on pub crawls, gambling...Just how up for it was Brad?

Brad’s a good sport... He’s a terrible card player and he’s got lots of money, and he likes playing cards, so that’s an exciting combination for anyone that’s good at playing cards. I’m not. The producer is, so the producer makes a few quid out of Brad. We took him to a travelling folk camp site in North London. Some friends of Vinnie Jones’ actually.

The other guy that interests me [is] Benicio Del Toro, I remember him being fantastic in "Fear and Loathing..." How did you use him?

I haven’t seen "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas" actually but I saw him in "The Usual Suspects", and to me he was the most exciting thing in [the film] so I was extremely pleased to get my hands on him. He did a great job. He’s a good sport as well, but he was wise enough not to indulge in cards.

Tell us, what does Vinnie bring to it and have you spoken to him at all about his stardom?

Vinnie is a fantastic chap and he deserves everything that he’s got. He’s the biggest card shark on the set actually.

"Snatch" opens nationwide in September.
