Biography

Mair Perkins is an award winning animator and illustrator for hire based in Derby. Though she has worked with clients remotely and on-site throughout Derbyshire, East Midlands, London, the UK and internationally.

She has over 3 years professional experience of working both as a freelance and employed animator and illustrator and is qualified with both a BA(Hons) and a Masters degree in Visual Communication.

Mair is the company director, animator and illustrator of Mair Perkins Animation and Illustration Ltd. and works with trusted associates on animation production projects.

Project Development

Mair combines digital design expertise and animation project management skills with traditional drawing and painting techniques to create a range of diverse, distinctive styles with vibrant and engaging visuals.

A typical animation project follows the following phases; project brief, script, visual style concepts, storyboards concepts, final storyboard, animation style test, voice over recorded (if needed), animation production, music and sound production, ammendments, delivery

Influences

Specialising in explanatory animated web videos and infographic videos for online marketing and illustration for marketing material and entertainment.

A mixture of Adobe After Effects motion graphics, Japanese anime and video games with traditional drawing and painting techniques have influenced Mair's work.
