Biography
Award winning animation director Rebecca has been working in the industry since 2003. Her graduation film Waiting for Dogot won Best Animated Short Film at Kino Fest 2002. Since then she has made three more short films that have been screened at festivals all over the world. She was short-listed for three British Animation Awards, for her short film The Girl and the Horse (Best Music – Oliver Davis, Public Choice Award), and her debut commercial for Carte Noire coffee Steam (Public Choice Award) in 2004 and 2006 respectively. Her work has also been shown at the National Gallery and the NFT London. Clients include Starbucks, Google, Kraft, Hewlett Packard, BBC3, CBBC, Channel 4, Polydor Records, Yorkshire Building Society, and Marks & Spencer. She has also made models and puppets for commercials, short films and the London stage. In November 2007 she was named as one of the Observer/Courvoisier Future 500 in the Media section, and a new talent to watch. In 2008 she directed two commercials for Starbucks Chocolate in the States, with agency Arnold NY. After that she co-directed the short film Breaking the Mould with Luca Paulli, which won the Shooting People DepicT! Audience Award at Encounters Short Film Festival, November 2008. The film is currently on the worldwide festival circuit. Recently she enjoyed collaborating, again with Luca, on a short instructional video for Google. Rebecca is a director with London based production company Slinky Pictures.
