Born and raised in Huddersfield I began as an actor before moving on to train in film production at Huddersfield Technical College. I then moved to South Wales to attend Newport Film School and stayed in the region after securing finance for my first short film Work In Progress through Sgrin's Screen Gems Scheme. I then began the production company 4:4:4 Productions and was successful in securing Lottery funding for the 10 minute short Scratching which went on to gain a BAFTA Cymru nomination for Best Short film. I then directed a film for ITV's It's My Shout and returned the following year with the script Owl Creek Bridge which went on to win the BAFTA Cymru in 2008 for Best Short. In late 2008 I merged 4:4:4 productions into Scratched Print Productions along with two other filmmakers and have just completed directing on our first short film Tuesday's Girl and producing our second short Vive La France with is curretnly in post production. We are currently developing my first feature as a director, Refuge.
