Biography

I am a film/tv/media composer and songwriter. Originally classically trained, with a Masters degree in electroacoustic composition, I have turned my hand to composing soundtracks in many different styles: classical, jazz, as well as sound design/electroacoustic montages.

I've recently finished working on the soundtrack to a short film called Dog Days, for an independent director in Hollywood and am about to embark on a series of soundtracks for the BBC's own Jon Jacob for his "Thoroughly Good" series.

Among my commercial releases is the soundtrack to one of the biggest-selling fitness DVDs of 2005, Total Fitness In 12 Minutes A Day (www.fitintwelve.com). This required an upbeat techno track and also a more ambient track.

I've also played keyboards, sax and clarinet for the London-based band Fourth Inversion, for whom I also co-wrote much of the material. I also perform regularly with the London Philharmonic Choir, "one of the world's best symphonic choirs" according to one our recent programme notes!

Influences

I'm sure we'd all put down the greats like Bernard Herrmann and John Williams, as well as Ennio Morricone and more, but in terms of British talent, Simon Boswell, David Arnold and Alex Heffes have been my favourites for a long time.
