Aideen McCarthy



Born in Ireland, I graduated from university with both a law degree and a masters in film studies. I went on to work as a camera assistant for several years where I learned the ropes of the filmmaking business. In 2005 I began my directing career and in 2007 i left Ireland and moved to London to develop this career even further. I recently won the Pearl & Dean Award for "Most Original Screenplay" for my film "The Formorian" at the Technical Awards.

Project Development

Currently I am working an writing the second draft of my romantic comedy feature script and the outline of my trilogy of fantasy adventure films.
