Andrew is an award-winning writer and director. He has written and directed several short films in addition to work in commercials. His graduation film MERMAIDS won the Young Film-maker award at the Tyneside International Film Festival and CAFE AU LAIT won a Royal Television Society award in 1994.

HALF A SHAVE premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 1996 and was awarded a “Certificate of Merit� at the Chicago International Film Festival. It went on to win a Royal Television Society award and gained a theatrical release.

INSOMNIA, starring Andy Serkis premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 1998 and was Kathy Burke’s “pick of the week� on Channel Four’s The Shooting Gallery. It was subsequently screened worldwide.

His screenplay for the serial killer thriller Underground was commissioned for development by BBC Independent Drama in 2002.

In the same year Andrew directed the pilot for the popular sit-com GREEN WING. Channel Four subsequently commissioned eight fifty minute episodes televised in 2004. The series received the Pioneer Audience Award at the BAFTA TV Awards 2005.

Currently Andrew is directing John Simm and Philip Glenister in LIFE ON MARS II as well as developing several feature films, all of which have received substantial development finance.

Andrew directs commercials for A Film Company.
