Stained follows Jamie, a hardened screw struggling to separate the day job from his personal life. When he is confronted by Truman, an arduous prisoner convicted of the most heinous crime, he is forced to question his own morals on both sides of the prison gate.

Matt, a fellow prison officer, who tries to be the voice of reason, struggles to contain Jamie's new found obsession in Truman. How long can Matt keep a lid on this boiling pot before it erupts into tragedy? Stained is taken from the experiences of ex-prison officer Ronnie Thompson who co-writes with Colin Butts.

Short fact:

A feature film also inspired by Thompson's memoir has been produced, entitled 'Screwed' and starring Noel Clarke.

An incredibly compelling and gritty film. A unique portrayal of the cold, pessimistic and brutal reality of prison life through the eyes of the guards. Brilliant.

Everything about this film is enjoyable, the acting, dialogue and the great direction. Even though the tone of the story is dark It still kept me intrigued and makes me want to know more about the characters and the story. Well done, I look forward to your next piece.
