Lewis needs to get himself and weaker younger brother Jake out of the back of their van before another winter bites. He plans a dawn raid to steal a stack of beehives, so they can finally get their dream caravan. However, the bee-keeper, already hit twice, has other ideas.

Set in the current agricultural crisis surrounding the worlds rapidly decreasing bee population, The Hive is a traditional British story with a twist.

Short fact:

Brian Percival (Downtown Abbey, Emmy Award Winning Director) mentored Ed Lilly on The Hive and had this to say about the film "Brilliant, really brilliant. The performances and casting are really good and it's beautifully shot".

When I'm alone all, out at sea on my barge. Its a large barge. I need inspiration to keep the dark thoughts at bay and it is shorts like this which keep the demons pushed deep, deep down.

I thoroughly enjoyed this piece of work and was quite upset when it finished. It's a shame it was a short rather than a long.

I'm praying to the mighty Poseidon that this gets turned into a feature film.

    Excellent work!!!
