Drug addiction in Bangladesh is rapidly on the increase, and the resources to face this growing problem are scarce. It is estimated that out of a population of 153 million people, 4.6 million are drug users. Of these, many are children and teenagers. Letters from an Anonymous Addict is a short documentary that sheds light upon the lives of young drug addicts in Bangladesh, following recovering addicts at a drug rehabilitation center run by a 75 year-old Christian Holy Cross Brother in Savar, Bangladesh.

A poignant documentary which captures the delicate issues of addiction and ruined childhood with sensitivity and pathos, leaving the viewer touched and deeply affected by this terrible reality.
An excellent piece of immersive journalism.
