Film Network chats to the cast and crew of Glorious 39, including director Stephen Poliakoff and stars David Tennant and Romola Garai.
One of the highlights of this year's London Film Festival was the gala premiere of Glorious 39. It marks a return to the big screen for writer-director Stephen Poliakoff who has otherwise devoted most of the decade crafting, arguably, some of the most original drama ever seen on British television. He brings that singular vision to Glorious 39, a psychological thriller set against the political turmoil in Britain leading up to World War Two. It boasts a sterling cast, including Bill Nighy, David Tennant, Jenny Agutter, Juno Temple and, in the leading role, Romola Garai.
They stopped talk to us on the red carpet about working with Poliakoff (along with the man himself) and why the London Film Festival is such a great launching pad for independent films.
Camera and editing by Daniel Lucas, interviews and text by Stella Papamichael.
