How can I ask a question or find information about a BBC programme or service?

Page updated: 10th January 2019

We know that many of you often see or hear something on the BBC that you want to find out more about, or you sometimes need help with one of our services, or just have a general enquiry about something related to the BBC.

It could be a piece of music you heard on a programme, or you might want to know when a programme will be shown or when a series is returning. And we know that lots of you sometimes want the same information!

That’s why we created the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ pages you’re visiting right now.

We have a small team who manage and update these pages every day with answers to the most popular questions you have, and regularly publish information about popular programmes and services that we know from the past few years a lot of you will want.

Why? Because we want to make it as easy as possible for as many of you as possible to find the information you want quickly without having to get in touch with us, as it can take us a few days to respond if you do contact us.

So, you can either:

  • use the ‘Search our frequently asked questions’ box above using specific keywords or phrases (i.e. ‘Strictly’, ‘EastEnders’, ‘take part’ etc) to see if we’ve already answered your question or have an FAQ that directs you to where you might find an answer elsewhere on the BBC website.
  • select one of the categories above (‘TV’, ‘Radio’, ‘Online’ etc) and scroll through the FAQs in each section.

But don’t worry – if you can’t find what you’re looking for, click 'Get more help' in the box below and we'll try to help.

Can't find what you're looking for? Try using the search bar above. We may not have the answer you're looking for, but one of our FAQs may tell you where to find it if it's available elsewhere on the BBC website.

For guidance on how best to use search, visit our 'How do I use the FAQ site?' page.
