The Edinburgh Festivals 2019 kicked off on Friday 2 August and run until Monday 26 August, and the BBC is bringing the Festivals to you across TV, radio and online.
As well as three plays from new playwrights being presented at the Edinburgh Fringe, some of our highlights will include:
- Nish Kumar curates an insider’s view of the Festivals in Edinburgh Nights With Nish Kumar starting on Friday 9 August BBC Two
- Our Breakfast team will be presenting live from the Festivals on Thursday 8 August, bringing the famous red sofa to the heart of the action
- BBC Asian Network will present a live radio show featuring the very best stand-ups from across the festival on Friday 23 August
- Highlights from The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo 2019 will be shown on BBC One on the August bank holiday weekend
